Noun
A noun is the name of a person place or thing. For example Table, Ali, Lahore, Ahmad, etc.
Pronoun
A pronoun is a word that is used in place of a noun. For example
We, I, you, they, my, our, your, their, it, its, he, him, she, her, thou, they, mine, their, etc.
Also……whom, you, whose, which, what, who, this, that, these, those, ones, none, such, same, myself, himself, etc.
Verb
A verb is a word that shows that something is being done. For example
He beats me.
In this sentence “beats” is a verb.
The Kinds of Verb
Transitive Verb
A verb which shows an action which passes from the subject to an object.
It has subject as well as object.For example
I baked some cookies.
I rode the bicycle.
I moved the chair.
Intransitive Verb
A verb that has no object is called an intransitive verb.
It has only the subject. For example
I laughed.
I cried.
The book fell.
The sunset.
Incomplete Verb (Auxiliary) Verb
A verb that does not give full sense is called an incomplete verb. For example

Adjectives
A word that qualifies a noun or pronoun is called an adjective. For example
Ram is a good boy.
In this sentence “good” is an adjective.
Adverb
An adverb is a word that is used to qualify any part of speech except a noun or a pronoun. For example
This is a dark black horse.
He reads clearly.
Preposition
A preposition is a word placed before a noun or a pronoun to establish the relationship with the person or thing denoted by it stands in regard to something else.For example
The book is on the table.
